Steve Aoki was born in Miami in 1977 and grew up in California before becoming a global DJ and producer and EDM pioneer who performs energetic shows while touring continuously. Aoki established Dim Mak Records in the early 2000s to promote underground artists before his rise to electronic music stardom.

The Grammy nomination for his debut album, Wonderland (2012) included work with Kid Cudi and LMFAO. Aoki has released multiple studio albums and EPs including the Neon Future series which combines pop and rock elements with EDM and features well-known guest artists.
